Operation Ivy - Sound System
#73 on my list of favorite songs ever
Some days call for a happy place song and here’s one of mine. This song was made for a day like this - an early spring, about 70 degrees, the first day of the year you open up the sun roof. Work might have sucked, maybe you’re feeling frustrated about the way things are going, but with this song blasting and the sun beating down on you, there’s no way you can stay in a bad mood for long.
In fact, this whole album is just one big happy after another.
FUCK YEA! This was what my youth was all about! That is the reason why I have such a huge place in my heart for Rancid. Too bad they are nothing to what they used to be.
